Finally got some chassis dyno numbers for the ProCharged 540

The friend of mine who bought my yellow Camaro got the car on a chassis dyno today. We had tried earlier to get numbers but it always spun the tires. This place had a better tie-down arrangement and was able to make it work.

The first pull is the low boost setup (11 psi). Here's the chart:

Then he swapped to the 15 psi pulley. At about 5700 rpm the inlet tube (rubber elbow) burst and all the boost was dumped so the power and torque drops like a rock. Here's that run:

Should have made near 900 rwhp at 6500 rpm if the tube didn't break. And this car has ps and A/C, plus runs ONLY ON 91 OCTANE. No intercooler and no race gas.

Arias aluminum block 4.5" bore o-ringed
Eagle 4.25" crank and rods with updated ARP bolts
CP blower pistons with ceramic barrier coating
9.44:1 compression
C&A gapless rings
Comp custom solid roller .689 (net) lift, 264/272@.050 on a 112 l.s. (trying to kill some low end)
fully ported Canfield heads
Jesel shaft rockers
Arias gear drive
Vic Jr (hood clearance issues) modified for EFI
FAST ECU
95# injectors (almost too small)
90 degree elbow and 75mm Accufab monoblade
MSD ignition
Hooker 2 1/8" headers, 3" exhaust

I took this car on a 200 mile trip right before I sold it and averaged over 19 mpg at 70-75 mph. I ran a TKO with a McLeod oval track twin disc and a Fab 9 rear 35 spline axle and 4.10 gears.

It also has water injection as there's no intercooler.

At the time I built the engine the largest one that I KNEW would fit under the hood was a D1SC, which is what is on there. They later came out with the F series which would be a better blower on this engine, but weren't out at the time. Also, wasn't planning on it making this much power either.

Hey nice pictures!

Funny, I have the exact same fuel pump as on your friend Don's 69 SS.

That yellow camaro is the cleanest one I have ever seen
