like its great for racing and friday nights cruisin, but when you pissed upp after a hard day at work or on a date and trying to talk in your car, and everything it rattling and you having to stare at your oil pressure cuz it doing wierd stuff...i hate that.

What is your reasoning for turbo over blower? I see turbos as a better setup, but the price and work compared to a supercharge does not justify it for me...im still just keeping an open mind to all these options thanks
My main reasoning for a turbo is that you can get max boost at pretty much any RPM not just redline where the blower is supplying max boost. That's one of the problems with the 306 is that you have to rev the crap out of it to get the power it's supposed to make.

That and the coolness factor.

If you can get ahold of enough money and extra time, hands down tubro. You can get max boost at low rpms and have a small cam and put down big numbers. Second place would be a blower. Buy a used strim and fuel system and your good to go. A blower cam would help out a lot too. But if you are low on funds then the juice is the way to go. They get over 3500lb cars out of the hole quite nicely. It is now up to how much money you can save up. Good luck

i'm also in college and kinda in the same position as him except i my engine internals are stock.
how much money DO we need to save up before even attempting this (turbo or blower)?

sounds like you are a perfect canidate for a blower man, Cheap used S-trim kit for 1500, and you can make 600rwhp pretty easy.

good luck with it, let me know if you need any help. btw. I can get you a complete eagle/JE forged rotating assembly for $1500 (383ci)

Ha ha... turbo headers... reasonable price... good one.

Nah, if you want a turbo kit, do a search on the board.

Hey Jordon, is an S trim actually capable of supporting 600 RWHP reliably? Just curious, I thought they started to max out around there.

If you're leaning towards a blower you should drop your CR down more so you can use more boost. Try 8.5:1 with a 142-144 CI blower. That should give you 8# and bring your CR to about 12:1 and keeps it street legal too.
