A few questions

I will be going with a P600B with setup on my stock bottom end with a 3 core intercooler and I wanted to run 7 lbs of boost on my stock bottom end. How safe is this if I got the tune right? Also what size/brand injectors should I get if I dont plan on using a FMU. What kind of track times should i expect with stock heads and the mods in my signature?

Also, how bad is a 112 lsa cam for boost?

Your best bet would be to do a search. You will find alot of people that have had good luck on stock shortblocks while others like myself have had to rebuild rather quickly. If you don't plan on running an FMU then I would recommend going with 42 lb injectors. I also would not bother installing the inline pump the comes with the ATI kit. I would invest in a Walbro 255 lph intank pump.

As stated, It could last for a long time or short depending on how the tune is and how the rest of the motor is. I would suggest that since you are going to have the motor apart "kind of", just go ahead and do the pistons also(that is where the real weak link is with the stock setup). But with all that I can say that I put a ATI P600b on my car back in 1996 and after about 95,000 blown miles my #1&#7 ringland cracked(but it was due to my FMU diaphram going bad and the motor going lean).
As I tell others get the rest of the car setup, ignition, cooling, etc, get a dyno tune and it should be good for a while. But as a golden rule if the cars not running right don't run it until its fixed. I have seen too many guy's complain about how this part or that part caused their motor to go South. But if they would have done the setup correctly and dial the parts in first, the motor would have done as it was should have and lasted. In any case good luck!
