Guys, what fuel pressure you guys starting at?

 

I'm really surprised, for the money they charge, that FAST does not include a good user's manual with their product.

 

they do, it's included in the c-com software. It tells you what each and every function actually does.

That being said, I still ended up taking my car to FAST in Michigan to get it tuned by Lance and Craig. WOT tuning is a breeze, but some of the idle tuning can be a pain, throttle follower, stuff like that.

Well the users manual is good to a point. Basically it is a glossary of terms but if you are a rookie its not much help to guide you through the process.

Basically I would like a nice point by point guide as to the process. What first? what to keep an eye on? etc etc.

Candidly I'm suspecting I have a hardware problem somewhere. My O2 sensor is just NOT behaving right.

 

Isn't Rash helping you out with the tuning? Or are you going to attempt this on your own?

Yeah he is but we are having some troubles and I'm trying to understand things and play with them myself a little so as not to take ALL his time.

He works at his shop 10 - 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. He has spent some time on the laptop but things are not working right. He wants we to try and see if it is ECU and sensor issues or engine hardare issues.

Of course he is also a Mustang guy and I'm trying to see if a known LT1 tune will get me closer then what we have been able to achieve so far. A known tune may also help me eliminate some issues.

 

Have you talked to Jazz? He has a fast system and might have a tune. I am not sure what level he was at but i know he had some issues with the o2 sensor as well. There is a few places that you can get a mail tune for the system to get you going, might want to talk to Fast track performance or some of the other shops. I know there is alot of guys out there with good tunes that you can get but talking to fast, cottons, etc... You might get things sorted out better.

Update:

After TOO much testing we have found out that the 1 and 8 injector are NOT pulsing - finally got to borrow some Noid lights to establish that.

We checked the circuit for the problem injectors and it IS good suggesting the harness and wiring is fine.

Next is a call to FAST tomorrow.

 

I found my problem.

I had a fried PCM.

Took about 20 hours of chasing my tail but I still learnt a lot from all the people that helped with ideas..

Of course this was 5 steps forward and as I was playing with the FAST I started to see the AFR go lean again WTF.

Then the car overheated so i think that explains it.

WOOT though. I'm sky high. how I have to find the overheating problem.
