Engine Buildup Help!!
Engine Buildup Help!!
I have recently gotten my hands on a 94 lt1 that only has bolt ons at the moment. This winter it is getting a major overhaul and my question is this: I am shooting for some high 6's maybe low 7's on motor or even with a turbo or supercharger setup(these are 1/8 times preferrably all motor) and I was wanting to get some advice on an engine combo. I haven't made my mind up on a turbo setup or supercharger. Don't really want to do gas b/c everyone here sprays and I want to be different. I was thinking like a 383 or 396. Not worried about the tranny or rear end right now...that will come along the way. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. This will be a drawn out process so the price can be dealt with. Thanks in advance for the help.
Take advantage of the "Search" feature and spend a few hours. You should figure out everything you need to know. Then, if you have further questions... be more specific, with budget, and driveability concerns, or else we'll have you buying all kinds of ceramic coated, titanium parts, and ungodly big turbo's.
Specific
Yeah I have done some searching on it and have figured out alot. I added this post because I figured that would get me some quicker answers as I was searching. Plus with all of the new setups and people doing different combos constantly I wanted to get the most up to date info. Drivability is not really a concern. It would be nice to be able to drive around town from time to time but it will mainly be used for racing. Budget would be number one concern. I know it is gonna need the good stuff to hold up and make hp...but I do not have an unlimited supply of cash. That is why I am trying to find out as much as possible now so that I can start buying a little bit along the way and it won't seem as bad. Don't get me wrong, I want it to be built right so I will spend the money to get it that way..just don't want to go overboard. Also what are some other good sites where I can research this? I am new to camaros so humor me. Thanks again.
