Total advance is irrelevant... Every car is different.. and 30 is not a magic number.. some like more some like less.. Personally i couldn't run more than 26 advance with 10psi boost. and I still made 607 with afr 190 heads and an S-trim and I did have intercooler.. I did had a 224/236 XE cam though.

Highlander, I don't understand something. In e-mail, after looking at my TunerCAT file, you told me that I'm not running enough timing at 34 degrees. But you're only running 26???

Nope.. that was not what I said.. "enough" timing doesn't mean WOT

Besides.. i am running 36 (scantool) 1º/psi retard

so it means... 36-10=26º advance

Well, I'm not sure about you, but I do all my dyno testing an drag racing at WOT. . .

I've dyno'd my car with several different timing settings and found the most power at 35 - 36 degrees total timing when read by the scantool.

I think thats what highlander means? He has his set at 36 as well, but with the timing retard based on boost, he loses 10 degrees at 10psi for a total of 26 degrees advance. Maybe you understand this as well, just thought I would state the obvious.

WOT timing is not the only timing and it affects overall feel of the car and WOT power.

I haven't had it back on the dyno yet. I put an msd-6al on it and richened up the fuel mixture some. I haven't had much time to work on it though. I'll keep you guys posted.
Later,
Botch
