Do I Need Cut Outs?

I've got a catted 3'' y pipe and borla 3'' cat back on my blown 383. I just up graded to a ysi trim and im thinking i need a bigger exaust. Only problem I's I'm running out of money so i'm going to stick w/ this set up. My question is should i put a cut out after Y pipe for the track? Will that make a difference in rwhp? Is my exaust way to small?

I run a 3" y into a 3.5" cat back mufflex system on the street. I put 2 cutouts in the y pipe right behind my long tubes on each side. I open them up at the track and dyno. I usually pick up around 12 to 14rwhp or so with them open. Thats on a 383 T-trim at 14psi.

With my old setup, I has a 383 T-trim running 13 psi and making 545 rwhp through an A3. It only gained 5 rwhp when I totally disconnected my 3" Aerochamber cat-back.

Now, with the turbo, it was a totally different story. . .
