D1-SC and V-Belt Setup.
D1-SC and V-Belt Setup.
I have a 92 Camaro that originally came with TPI. Well I have a new Motor that I'm Putting in (Super Chevy Nov/Dec 05 "The New Danger Mouse") Well I completely forgot that the Crank Pulley Procharger Supplied is a V-Belt configuration. I would like to know what people are using for Power steering and Alternators. Are you just changing the pullieys or replacing to new units?
Re: D1-SC and V-Belt Setup.
We need a little clarification on this. Your '92 Camaro should've come with serpentine drive system for which ATI has a direct fit application, but it sounds like you might have gotten ahold of one of ATI's Carb Chevy kits that has 1 v-belt groove on the back side of the crank pulley and serp drive for the blower.
Re: D1-SC and V-Belt Setup.
I just saw your post on thirdgen.org that you also have a March pulley system. I'm not real familiar with the March pulley system. Maybe some of the other guys on here can chime in and help out, but I would think you might be able to just change the pulleys on your P/S and Alt. I do know that ATI has a really nice bracket setup that goes with the Jayco style P/S pump and lines up with that rear V-belt groove. You could even get the spacer and crank pulley that ATI sends out with the 88-92 F-body kit that way you could still keep the March drive system. You might just have to either cut down the crank pulley spacer to get the correct alignment or shim the blower bracket out to line up with the crank.
Re: D1-SC and V-Belt Setup.
Talked to ATI. They said that because I'm running a crank trigger that the spacing wont allow the use of a serpintine crank pulley. So maybe i should look into changing the pulleys on the alt and PS?
