D1 oil return.

Does anyone know off hand what the NPT thread size is on the Procharger D1 blower oil return bung? I'm looking to replace the oil return line to teflon hose since I have about 40 feet of it laying around.

Re: D1 oil return.

1/2 npt thread. I had to bush down to 3/8 for a -8male by 3/8npt 45* el. I have a Canton lt1 pan and ran it on the passenger side oil inlet. Some say this is bad, but it looks like it is working.

Re: D1 oil return.

Why didn't you go with a 1/2npt to -8AN male fitting then used either a 90 or 45 degree -8AN to the pan?

Re: D1 oil return.

There are two D1 outlets. I selected near the engine. I used -8 socketless hose from Summit with a straight barb. The straight fitting (straight 1/2npt to -8) and hose had interfearance with the front sway bar. A 45* fit better but I did not have a 45.x1/2npt (dont know if they make them. could not find.). Also, the inlet diameter to the fitting was the same as a 3/8 npt. So I bushed it. I only run the hose around the pan, then, to a -8 alum hardpipe --> pan. I guess a more direct (accepted) way is to make a hole in the front left pan and run it direct to a bung. They say they get better oil return that way.
