If you post the lobe specs it would be easier to give an opinion and people might be more likely to answer. Better yet, calculate the valve events and post them as well.

Re: Custom cam for my car, advice

Those valve lifts look like they are with 1.5:1 rockers? Assuming that, I like the first cam with 1.6:1 to give you quicker opening and a bit more lift. If you are willing to invest in premium springs or don't mind changing them, the higher lift 224/236 would likely make a bit more power, but not much with your heads.

The smaller cam would be a great choice for pure street use. Just pulley the blower to give the desired boost 5,800rpm or so if using that cam. The bigger cams are going to peak around 6,200 or so and the blower would need to be set up according.

Re: Custom cam for my car, advice

yes its 1.5 numbers...

my current valve springs with the CC306 230/244 ,510/,544 (1.5 rockers) is
1.440'' Springs
1.875'' Installed height, 130 lbs. seat pressure

I guess the same springs would be Ok?

6200rpm sounds fair......... I guess I will se more boost with this cam than my current with the same pulley?

Re: Custom cam for my car, advice

I would like more seat pressure in a blower application. Don'ty forget, your intake valve has ~3sq.in. of area. At 15psi, that means there is ~45lbs acting to keep the valve open. If your springs are in good shape, you might want to go with a different spring just on the intake. I have done this tosave a few buckes. But often, buying 16 springs isn't much more expensive than 8.

You will see more boost only if you rev it higher, with the same pulleys. If there is a huge difference in the "area under the curve" for the intake valcve, you might even see less with the cam with more area due to greater air flow.

What is your goal with the cam change?

Re: Custom cam for my car, advice

My goal is to make changes to the better, The CC306 isnt a great blower cam and now when I have the F1 unit on my car, why not a cam change to a blower cam The car should also be able to run "good" without the blower on........

I like to do changes, it's my hobby.....even if Im tired of the car right now due to some other trouble

Re: Custom cam for my car, advice

Here is my take on things......

First your heads do not flow that well for a 415 cube motor.
Also due to engine size, the 224/236 will also be quite mild.

If stock type drivability is a concern, then this cam should be fine. You are basically taking a step back in duration & widening the lobe spacing to reduce overlap. I do not see a power increase here for the money spent. People speak of a 224/236 in a 383, but your 415 will need a few more degrees to help it breathe. If looking for serious power, try a more agressive cam on a 114 center. Your current duration on a 114 would be an improvement and will idle better than your current setup.

Looking at head flow, a cam with mid .500 lift is good on the intake, but you will benefit from a nearer to .600 lift on the exhaust. On a supercharged motor, you are flowing a lot of exhaust & need all the help you can get. if you really want an improvement do some head work. Exhaust flows in the 200+cfm range would do wonders.
