Couple of weird knock questions... this post will become useful.
Yesterday I was in second between 1500 and 2000 rpm and I got on it kinda hard to see where my boost starts to kick in and I got 5* of knock.... It was on a large load. If it's not common then how do I get rid of it???
Based on what I'm seeing on freescan, my car does not like big throttle changes whether it be punching it suddenly (which only sometimes creates knock) or letting off the throttle very fast for example shifting... If I take 3'rd or 4'th all the way to the top and then let off fast at a high RPM I get some knock sometimes. The funny thing is that the knocks stays there when I'm not even pressing the gas... it looks like the damn thing is trippin but I'm not sure. I'll let off fast and see anywhere from 1-3 degress for a while until I press the throttle again. It's some weird ****. Any ideas what could cause knock on big throttle changes? I already had 4 or 5 degress of timing advance removed in the midrange and my car is running perfect in terms of rich/lean during WOT but that knock retard is the only problem.
Thanks in advance.

Big up throttle changes result in burst knock retard from the PCM. It can be programmed out with LT1 Edit or Tunercat. The key is to watch the knock retard AND the Knock counts with the scanner. If your getting knock retard without any increase in the knock counts that is Burst Retard. Happy tuning
