I have a custom supercharger cam spec'd by Bret Bauer. I cant go into details accept that it has the following specs:

Intake duration: 23x
exhaust duration: 24x
intake/exhaust lift: ~.600"
LSA: 116

The question is will a custom SC cam work well with a turbo?

 

Why not ask Bret? In general though, the answer is "NO".

When you say no, are we talking 50hp difference between a blower cam and a turbo cam, or we talking about 20rwhp difference? I am going to shoot bret an email, but I wanted to see if others are doing it.

 

Comp and Crane both told me there is a 50-100 hp diff between a dedicated turbo grind and a blower grind.
