Cam advice?????

Okay guys I know this has been beat to death but here we go.

I want a cam now.

I want an SC later.

Money has a lot to do with this order of course. I know from reading here that a NA cam is not as good as a SC cam once you get a SC.

I see several people lately that are running a CC305 with a SC. That seems to be a common NA cam also. Is this a good middle of the road cam until I buy a SC and then even later rebuild?

I have been trying to decide between the CC305 and the hotcam and man that sucks. It seems that people just argue back and forth as to which one is better. So, I figured that I should post here since my cam will eventually be Supercharged.

I wish I had the knowledge to decide which would be better but I only understand the basics of cam specs and these two are fairly close.

Anybody have a suggestion? Is there a better choice out there?

Thanks

If I were to chose onem i woulg go with the 305 b/c it is ground on a 114lsa. The hot cam is a good cam for n/a motors but do to its overlap it produces it wouldnt make suchj a good blower cam. All of your expensive boost would be going out the exaust and we wouldnt want that now would we?. The cam I have is a cc224/236 cam ground on a 114lsa. It has a little bit of a choppy idle but nothing thats going to wrattle your teeth. I know a couple of people that have gotton 344rwhp out of this cam and were both a4's. So if your an m6 Id expect a little bit more like arounf 350rw. Check out thunderracing for some of there blower cam or even cmotorsports.com for there line of s/c cams. You cant go wrong with either or. Good luck
