Re: Cam

No idea on the sniffer. As far as the cam goes, what is your definition of a "decent" cam? How do you use the car, how much boost, what CR, etc.? In very general terms, that looks like a "decent" cam, but again: I don't really know what you are after.

Re: Cam

It will be 8.5-9.0 cr 383cid lt1 with 10-15lbs of boost via 2 pcs 60-1 turbos

mostly street driven with the odd 1/4 mile

as far as cams are concerned i am clueless as to what works for what.

looking to make 600+hp minimum

Re: Cam

It seems in the ballpark for a street turbo cam. The heads will be the determining factor in power output. You will need an intercooler to run that much boost (obviously) and/or water/methanol injection.

Re: Cam

That cam will work great for what you want. With -5 degrees of overlap, i suspect it shouldnt have a problem passing emissions. Is that a Futural cam? I plan on going with a 226/226 .560"/.560" 114 or 115lsa for my emissions legal 700rwhp setup (still in the works)

Re: Cam

I'm running 231/240@ 0.05" .536/ .558 114 lsa 110In CL. 12 psi pulley on a D1 with a large spearco. I had to play with the timing alot. Now getting it to run decent. Going with a Dyno-Tech wideband. I think my exhaust is somewhat restrictive (3 1/2 mufflex with spintech). 383 with forged internals 9.5:1 afr 190 heads. Learned alot from acceleronics.
