Breaking in engine with boost?
Well, this is just my opinion, which is also the same as my motor shops, and other people I have talked to as well, but you need to put a few hundred miles on the motor without seeing WOT, or boost above 4-6#'s. Keeping the RPM level inconsistant for these few hundred miles will also help break in the motor properly.
After this time period has passed, you motor should be safe to open up the throttle, and boost with. However, without having a safe dyno tune, there's no way to know you are really at a totally safe setting for everything, so I would wait for the dyno tune at that point.
Like I said, this is just the theory I used, and what my motorshop reccomended that I do (as well as several other people I talked to at the time). I also have heard the idea of opening up the boost and throttle all the way on mile #1, I just don't think it would be a good idea.
