is it possible 2 turn the boost up and down on a super charger lik a turbo.so u dnt have 2 put all that stress on the motor when its not being used.

ive always ben a turbo guys so does a super charger always push 12 ps1(if thats wat ur running) even when not needed or does it kit in or wat.sounds dumb but i need 2 no lol

 

What happened to your spelling? A centrifugal's airflow delivery is tied to the rpm the compressor is running. When the engine is not under heavy load a bypass valve is open that vents the supercharger's airflow delivery. When manifold vacuum drops the bypass valve closes and then the engine is breathing through the supercharger. As rpm increases the supercharger delivers more air than the engine can normally inhale creating "boost" and pressurizing the intake system above atmospheric.
