Blower cam specs.

Would these specs be about right for a 383 with a F1A and heads that flow 330's using 1.6 RR's.

Duration
Intake:224.5
Exhaust:231.1

Lift
Intake:5578
Exhaust:.56422

LSA 114.1

It's coming with the block that I just bought and I was wondering if it would be acceptable for my application.

383ci Procharger D1 (7.6 --> 3.4"pd pulley) AFR 190 heads. 97ss-M6. Running a cam motion grind. 231/240@ 0.050 .538/.560 lift. 114lsa 110 deg centerline intake. Basic rpm 3500 to 6800 rpm. Took me a while to tune it. This is my 4th cam. I finally found I like high reving cams. Blower tops out @ 65k rpm @ 6500 engine rpm. B.

Everybody is worried about the heads. I'll let everyone know when I get everything up and running. Its no big secret, just not your typical heads.

Fairly mild cam. I think it would work with a blower or even a turbo.

I'd like to know more about the heads that flow 330cfm. These are 18 degree heads? Why not run more cam - or at least more lift?

If it's no secret then spill the beans. Must see flow numbers

It will work well, won't be a high revver so you will need to pulley accordingly. I'd chose pulleys to make the desired amount of boost at 6,200-6,3000rpm. ProCharger can help you figure out pulley size. If you are ooking to max the bloser out, you obviously don't need to call them. Just figure it out based on pulley ratio and the max impeller rpm.

Well it's coming with the motor. I don't have to use it, but if it'll work, why not? I know its not the ideal cam for my application, but it was cut for this motor and a Vortech T-trim running 15psi, so its somewhat similar.

I'll post up some flow numbers and what heads they are when I get them back from the flow bench. When I got them they flowed a very conservative(15cfm) 305 intake and 217 exhaust. I have further ported them and expect them to flow in the 330's on a calibrated flow bench.
