blow through maf problems ?
hello
has anyone put their maf to a blow through, maybe with an intercooler. and had it throw a (don't remember the code # ) "maf out of range" (or something like that) code ?
i'm dealing with this issue right now. and would like to know what/if there is anything to fix it .
it seems i'm moving sooo much cool air that the maf can't compute it, throws a ses light and makes the scanning of these codes act funny.
looking for advice
thanx

yes, it is OBDII.
what is this you say here "cut inj pulsewidth when you max the maf " ? when the air going through the maf has exceeded the ability of the maf to measure it, the computer basicly pulls fuel ???
if so, what sense does this make ? that seems backwards ?

For no reason apparent to me, when an OBD2 LT1 car maxes the MAF sensor, injector pulsewidth is cut exactly in half and the result is obviously an extreme lean condition.
Ed Wright can 'fix' the computer so it will no longer do this, allowing you to tune for fueling with the PE tables accordingly.
I don't race at RT66 because I doubt my car would pass tech there. I ran there once when my car was lightly modified and they seemed very strict.
I usually go to GLD and Byron because they are close to me, but I occasionally go to US41 in Indiana because the Midwest F-body Association has events there.
