$136 from Summit.
It's a straight-through design also + stainless steel.

FLP prototype 1 3/4 inch long tube headers, custom fabricated 3 inch 4 inch y-pipe (no cats) by FLP, Mufflex 4 inch intermediate pipe, Spintech muffler (4 inch inlet, dual 3 inch outlets).

Re: Big HP guys. What's your exhaust setup?
Thanks for the pics BADST95. I run something very similar on my car, except I use the Flowmaster on my 4 inch Mufflex. Just a little FYI, Fred (Injuneer) has posted this several times about George Baxter's 30th. When his car was making 1125 HP or so, George ran 1 3/4 long tubes, 3 inch y to a 4 inch Mufflex with a Flowmaster muffler. He removed the Mufflex setup, and installed bullets with turndowns right onto the collectors, and redynoed, and showed no difference in HP. Im personally not the biggest fan of Flowmaster, I would have chosen a Magnaflow if it was an option. When it comes to Flowmasters, I hear too many conflicting stories of people who switch and report eiher a gain, or loss compared to other brands.

i am thinking of running dual 3" exhaust on my twin turbo camaro.
now I was wondering if i run cats and exhaust all the way to the back with no mufflers how loud will it be?
i am thinking that the turbos must kill some of the exhaust noise?

What do you think about this scenario?
Possible a setup requiring more exhaust flow will benefit more so by removing a muffler????

Well, since I wasn't there and can not prove or dis-prove the dyno test, I'll assume that the data given is exactly correct.
Perhaps Baxter's car had a tad too much camshaft overlap. Wasn't he running alot of boost? Like 25+ psi? Well, with a blower car and 25 psi in the intake port plus 0 or negative pressure in the exhaust port, you can easily over-scavenge the chamber and lose air/fuel out the exhaust. Turbo car's have the opposite problem because for 25 psi boost, we might have 40 psi backpressure, but that's a topic for another day.
My point is that perhaps a restrictive muffler helps prevent overscavenging on a high-boost supercharged engine. Removing the restriction allows overscavenging, but also reduces pumping losses. So, the net result is zero.

Sounds more combo specific (complicated). Some cars gain more or less than others depending on breathing characteristics of the setup.
Not saying a Flowmaster is/isn't a poor flowing muffler (I can't comment).

Re: Big HP guys. What's your exhaust setup?
A normally aspirated combo needs MORE exhaust, a power adder combo can always get by with less exhaust....the power adder is helping it get pushed out. The all motor combo is having to do it on its own.
I have seen cars go pretty darn quick with Flowmaster shootout style mufflers, ANY crossflow muffler will flow less than a straight through muffler.
Even back in the early 90's NMCA Pro-Street cars were running low 8 second slips with Flowmaster mufflers(of course they were ALL power adder cars).
Personally I have a normally aspirated combo going together(and have been working on it 3.5 years) We opted for the BIGGEST system we could put on the car, shooting for 500 rwhp normally aspirated through an auto.
Hedman 1 7/8 race headers(modded to work with a/c and power steering)
Home built 3.5 inch Y pipe
4 inch Mufflex
4 inch Magnaflow muffler with single turndown on drivers side.
If that dont get er done we in trouble.

It sounds incredible, but too loud. The cats quiet it down a lot. So if your driving on the street with offroad pipes, you may get pulled over. . And if the officer sees no cats on the car, we'll you could be in big trouble. I guess it all depends on the guy who pulls you over, he may just want to see what you have under the hood and doesn't give a rats *** about emissions. I suppose with no cats, a quieter muffler is needed, like a flowmaster 50 series.
