Best prices you guys have seen for FAST\BIG STUFF 3

So what are the best places and prices you guys have seen for FAST and BIG STUFF 3?

It's time for me to step up from LT1 edit.

Whites Racing sells plug and play units with custom interphases. But they are not cheap by any means.

For a full wideband setup, they are quite pricey... I picked up a used wideband fast box (with sensor) and bought just the PCB interface from White Racing. It was still pricey, at $700ish, but made for a 15 minute install without any changes to the stock wiring harness. Plus, the old PCM is in a drawer somewhere instead of in the car being piggybacked. (The PCB interface also controls stuff that the stock PCM did, like air conditioning)

The speedo calibration box is kinda tricky to figure out, but you can adjust it while tuning on the dyno and figure out the best setting that way.

Dan White was great at answering all my questions too!

Roadie,

I am interested in your FAST wideband setup. I am not sure what all the stock PCM controls and what all the PCB interfaces with. I would love to have the tuning capabilities as well as the 2 bar setup, but I'm not willing to give up any of my "creature comforts" of my Trans AM. What are the good and bad points of the Whites Racing setup and getting rid of the stock PCM?

So FAST or BigStuff3 isn't the way to go. I was thinking it was. ALSO I didn't even think about losing stuff like my A/C. Would I lose that going to a FAST\BigStuff3 setup?

Which system would you guys rather have weather it's a blower or turbo?

FAST/BS3/DFI definitely is the way to go... Typically, you wire them into the stock harness, letting the aftermarket box take the place of the powertrain portion of the harness. The stock PCM is still connected and controls the gauges, creature comforts, etc. The down side here is added weight of keeping both PCMs, and locating the aftermarket box.

The PCB interface has an in and an out... Basically the stock PCM harness plugs in one side, and the FAST box plugs into the other side (there are other connectors, like WBO2 and tuning cable, but I'm trying to keep it simple).

Supposedly, it takes the place of the PCM for anything that the PCM controls which the FAST box cannot (like gauges, A/C, etc.). I haven't actually tried it because I've only got as far as firing up the car... I do know that all my gauges work fine.

I don't think there's any bad point to it... The good is that you don't have to piggy back off the stock PCM, which leaves you the question of where to mount the FAST box. In this case, you just mount the FAST box where the PCM used to be and the install is clean.

So is there a perferred way to go, or just get the one you can get the cheapest price for between FAST, DFI, and BigStuff3.

Which order would you put them in, anyone with experiance\knowledge of the systems?

In order of least expensive to most:

Accel Gen 7 DFI
F.A.S.T XFI
Big Stuff 3

In my opinion the F.A.S.T system is the way to go. It has similar features of the BS3, but a little easier to work with.

>do you guys sell them, and if so how much? I understand there can't be a GP for these.

We are going to start carrying BS3 in the near future, but they are very strict about pricing. There can be no sales or group purchases on their products. As for the F.A.S.T XFI System we do currently carry it, and I will PM you pricing.

Re: Best prices you guys have seen for FAST\BIG STUFF 3

I went w/ FAST XFI and the wiring harness from Horsepower connections. I wish I had known about White racing at the time as I was contemplating the whole wire scenario. My wire harness called for cutting almost everything off the stk pcm etc. Paid 450ish for his harness and it enabled to still use my stk guages in the dash. I would've preferred White racing since it's 15 min job where as mine took 2 days. Too late now BUT I know how to wire now so that's a good thing. My PCM is still in place and I mounted the XFI here so I could see the LED's. Haven't driven it at night but I'd imagine it's a light show in the car now. LOL! I paid $2650 for the XFI and harness, USB adapter harness & WB. I got the XFI from Advance Performance in Memphis from TJ.
