ATI P1SC or P600B

I'm looking at either getting a P1SC or P600B for my Camaro and want to know the pro's and con's. Any experiences would be helpful. I have read in this forum that the P1SC has had problems with oil leaks and that if the P600B goes out, it would puke metal chunks into the oil pan. Since I haven't seen the oil line for the P600B, is there a mesh screen at the fitting to help prevent that, or is it possible to add one?

Re: ATI P1SC or P600B

I would go with the P-1SC and not have to worry about the oil lines. They can sometimes have problems with leaks, which can be a mess. Plus, if your engine pukes you don't take the supercharger with it (and vice versa). That's a REALLY big advantage. You will also get more efficient performance out of the P-1SC due to the higher step up ratio. The P600B is a pretty out-of-date unit that is really only still in service because ATI hasn't bothered fitting the P-1SC to some vehicles such as the TPI Corvette. They don't even fit the P600B (or the oil fed D-1) to newer vehicles that they design kits for.

I agree with jack black 600-b is outdated and theres no reason not to go with the p1sc. If it leaks it shouldn't be bad everyone ive seen that leaked barely weeped.
