I think if I added a 25-50 hp shot it would work wonders. I have a 6# s-trim with an aftercooler right now.

Buddy of mine made 581 on a T-trim, with a 30-40 shot he made 632 . Crazy thing was, his A/F ratio was better with the nitrous.

It may be a little tough on your stock bottom end!

Haha...definitely. I didn't pay attention to your sig, I'm hoping YOU are planning on doing that. My buddy has forged internals and took his aftercooler off...so he uses the nitrous as a cooling effect. A different buddy of mine blew his motor up after he decided to throw some nitrous on it on top of the boost.

I do it, but I have a well built low compression 383. Traction becomes even more of a problem on street tires

I have run up to a 150hp shot on top of 13-14 psi. When I ran the N2O (at the strip) I mainly used it for the low end torque boost to move my heavy car off the line quickly. Optimal setup last year was to turn it on at 3,200rpm and off at 5,200. I was worried about running out of fuel above that rpm with the nitrous and fuel system I had. The torque peaked at nearly 900ft-lbs at the wheels. This years fuel system is more than adequate, so I will spray it higher. But I need to get my converter problems worked out before testing the nitrous, so no results to report yet.

Obviously, tuning is an issue along with having the right plugs, a strong bottom end, etc.

A buddy of mine has ran a wet 75 shot on his Vortech'd LT1 TA for about 17,000 miles now. Still no problems. Its a stock bottom end too, lol...

He runs 6 psi on TEA ported LT1 heads.
