Another turbo kit...

I started fabbing up a stock exhaust manifold kit. Unfortunately the A/C gets deleted, but here are some pics showing some layout. The turbo is a garrett T67 rated for 750 fwhp. Opinions, questions, and comments welcome:

RealQuick, that's great! I plan to use the stock manifolds myself for my first turbo project later this year, and your pictures are looking promising! Where/how do you plan to run the downpipe to the back? Does the turbo clear the stock cooling fans?
Thanks for sharing the pics, keep us updated!

DP wil run thru the pass.side motor mount and out by the starter.

I dont believe the turbo will clear. It wil be close. There area few options:

1. Stand the radiator/fans up slightly to clear
2. BUy either a slimmer puller fan or a pushfan for the othe side of the radiator

That looks like an awesome project, makes me wish I had a garage and more free time/money. Question re: manifolds - I hear that stock vette manifolds flow great, would those be a feasible replacement for the f-body manifolds in this application, and have you considered it? I'm guessing they're not the same dimensionally, but maybe close?

I checked them out. It appears they will run into the fbody's motor mounts (as far as I can tell from pics).

Gotcha, that figures. How about some shorty headers? Same deal?

If someone wants to they can. I am gonna sell this probably just as hotparts, turbo and wastegate. Good practice for when i do my own kit. Either a board member can buy it or i'll ebay it.

Just kidding... Jon built the hot parts that are mostly installed in my car. I won't give the price I paid for mine, but it was a lot more complicated layout (I'm keeping all accessories) and has a T76 bolted up to it. You won't be able to beat his pricing.

Re: Another turbo kit...

wow, you've been busy lately. Good Job. You could keep the AC if you run a 2.5" crossover thru the passenger side, and and 3" downpipe under the steering shaft.

Thanks. It would be tough because I needed to flip the manioflds from dr. side to pass. side. You can see in the 3rd pic down that the pass. side manifold exits right where the AC is. It may be doable...

Yeah... I think you'd need 2 passenger side manifolds do it that way and keep AC. I wonder how many (if any) shorty header manufacturers would be interested in selling a set of 2 passenger side headers. The SLPs look like they'd be the best for clearance and plug access (from the bottom)

That's what I was talking about. I just piped the passenger side SLP forward under the motor mount, and accessory bracket.
