Another blower on stock engine thread...

If I can get my hands on a P-1SC or D-1SC with a boost range of anywhere from 10-20 psi, would I be able to pulley it down like 6 psi or so (or whatever is safe for a stock motor)? Will that cause an problems or damage? It will only be like that until I build a motor suitable for higher boost.

Shouldnt but even with the smallest crank pulley, and biggest blower pulley, its hard to get a D1sc down to 6 PSI from what ive read ?

That will work, just make sure you have a safe "conservative" tune-up and obviously an innercooler and/or water injection will add to the the life expectancy of your stock motor. Just be prepared to spend some money on your car.

A P1SC should be no problem to pulley down for a stock engine. It'll be more difficult for a D1SC to get that low. As far as engine longevity for a stock motor, some have had good luck others have not. But with a safe tune, 6-7 psi of intercooled boost, I'd say your chances are good.

I ran 5-7lbs for 2 years on a stock head/stock bottom end 130k mile car with the only problem being oil consumption. Car ran solid 11.30's @ 120-124

Put down 440rwhp/475rwtq

Near the end it started to break the ring lands but stock engine + boost does not necessarily mean ka-boom.
