-4AN stainless steel braided the same as SS Hydraulic hose?

Is there any real difference in the stainless steel braided hose in Summits catalog and the stainless steel hydraulic hose my local Parts stores sells?
I can order a couple of rolls/lengths of -4AN and -10AN from Summit and pay freight, wait awhile but if the hose is the same, I can get just what length I actually need, cut professionally. Then All I have to do is get the AN fittings for the turbo and the oil pan. Speaking of which, this Canton pan that I have, I bought used from a Vortech guy. He already has the pan drilled and tapped for the S/C oil return. Do you guys know what size Vortech's use for that drain back? I know they included the proper tap/fitting with their kits.

I think its a -10 and 3/4 npt tap in the pan...I dont remember to clearly

I have used the lines from napa with no problem...however,I have grown to hate the SS braided hose as it likes to poke holes in my skin.

Thanks for the quick reply. And, Amen on the skin perforations due to SS braided hose. Bringing BandAids to the install.
