Re: 3.8 Turbo Noob Question

My dyno numbers are in the sig.. I dropped just over 2 seconds in the quarter mile, with a trap speed gain of around 20mph.

Re: 3.8 Turbo Noob Question

Not until you know your way around turbo systems and know your setup top to bottom. They are wonderful if you know what you're doing, and are extremely bad if you dont.

EDIT: Turbos are not something you should just pick up and bolt on. You may know well about the setup - but when you know if you should or should not bolt it on is the only time you really can make that decision. If you have to ask, you probably dont know what you're getting into. I'm not trying to be rude, I just hate watching people bolt on turbo kits, nuking their motor, and then getting upset and watching their baby fall apart on them.

Agreed. Making a turbo setup isn't like bolting on a set of headers. Go grab a copy of "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell.. it's a good place to start when you're just getting into turbos. Do alot of research and ask alot of questions to people you know to be knowledgeable. Once you get passed all that, then yes, i would definitely suggest you make a setup for your car..
