18ga turbo headers, will they hold up if ceramic coated?
I made these headers without doing research and soon found out from many of my turbo friends that thin tubing will warp and sometimes blow out. My question is will ceramic coating help and hold up?
here is a pic of my headers. As you can see, they are pretty free flowing and probably won't produce as much heat as other headers. I just want to make sure if I spend $400 on coating, it's not just going to last a few months

Everyone I spoke with said the standard ceramic coatings won't hold up to the heat from the turbo. I got mine done in a black 2000 deg. ceramic, designed especially for turbos. Haven't gotten it back together yet, so I can't say how it will hold up, but that is what ProTurbo recommended and runs on theirs.. when they don't use stainless steel.
I ran mine uncoated for about 6 months, better than 500 miles anyhow, and I don't see any signs of problems in the steel. Then I sent it all out for coating and it looks real good.
