I've been looking around trying to find something that will work like the recent Z06 Type muffler where the inside of the muffler becomes "open" when you enter WOT so you get the advantages of a quite muffler when cruising but a open pipe when WOT.. for high HP street cards this is perfect.

I've got a Magnaflow with long tube headers, no cats on a boosted 383 with cam and it's loud, it sounds great but it's just tooo loud for daily driving and if I put a quiter muffler on it I'll surely have to reduce timing to avoid detonation with much less hp from using a muffler with more of a restriction.

So, aside from running a cutout (unless there's is a fast acting cutout) is there anything else out there which mimicks the ZO6 type muffler?
