wrong size tips ARG

well when i bought my z28 the kid before me had a loudmouth exhaust put on it and said it was all 3" exhaust. So believing that he knew something about his own car after owning if for a few years i didn't bother to check the diameter ( dumb on my part) well i ordered some new tips with a 3" inlet and wouldn't you know i got 2.50 inch piping. Is there any way a exhaust shop could stretch the existing ends of the exhaust to fit a 3" inlet or am i screwed. thanks fellas

Most exhaust shops can stretch the existing ends up to .5 inches. After that I'm told the metal cracks and splits.

You could buy header collector reducers (3in to 2.5in) and have an exhaust shop weld it all up...

Half an inch? That's kind of pushing it with a LM that's been on for a bit. I had a shop try to expand on of my LM pipes about .2 in when I put on the LT and ORY and the pipe ended up cracking.
