What kind of headers??

My 85 Z28 is going to get a 327 installed , and my question is what kind of headers should I go with. Long or Short, what is the performance difference? And will longs' fit? And what brand is the best?

It all depends on how much you want to spend and if smog matters. But the majority will tell you long tubes are the best. As for brand, depends on how much you want to spend. And who makes them for your car. Stainless steel is by far the best, and Kooks is popular for those. A budget choice would be coated Pacesetters, but like I said, its all in who makes them for your car.

if u can find 'em one of the more popular style headers are the Hooker LT's and Pacesetter LT's i do not recommend short style because they are more restrictive than LT's and LT's will sound better IMO that's my plan to get rid of my shorties for some Hooker LT's. Anyway good luck and hope this helped. Later
