What to buy??
ive only heard a few SLP's in person
one is on the sickest cobra in the state and the car used to shut up every car at car shows a few years back, and another on this BEAUTIFUL orange custon z28, which also sounds fantastic.
i have time to decide, considering i only have 400 for parts right now and i need at least 1000 if i include labor lol, 2 vacations coming up arent helping either

Ok, ive done my research once again on this AMAZING forums (almost as good as wannabebig, but thats for powerlifting
) and im considering/learning about True Dual Systems.
Seem it would produce more power, sound better, and may even cost me less.
I can get a summit x pipe on ebay for 75 bucks, 2 flowmaster 40's for 40 bucks each, and then just get the pacesetter long tubes for 370, the rest would be installation which is difficult since its a custom job, correct?

I have a magnaflow, now it doesnt sound as good as the more expensive ones, but for the price you can't beat it. I belive I got mine for like $200. The best part is that if you want it to be quite you can make it quite, If I want loud then I floor it, or open the cutout.
IMO, don't get a loud catback. Get a medium one, then get a cutout. This way if you start getting annoyed of the loud exhaust (you will) you can just cap it off. I constant switch back and forth between the cutout and the catback.

thanks Jazun, but i really think im leaning toward the Duals.
Let me get this straight, aside from fittings and gaskets, i only need 3 things??
The headers, Xpipe, and 2 mufflers?
I explained the install to a local shop who does custom exhaust and transmittion rebuilts, he charges 60 dollars an hour and said it would be done in about 3 hours, not bad at all, he also said hes been doing this for 20 years so i suppose hes trust worthy.
Pacesetter Longtubes are 370...Xpipe 75..and 2 flowmasters 40 each off ebay...

Good luck if you decide on true duals. I've only seen pics of a couple homemade setups that don't look like ****e. Anyway Pacesetter Lt's and Y-pipe from CustomSSI will be 505 bucks shipped. Hooker makes one of the cheapest and best flowing cat backs. Magnaflow is good too but a little more money. Take a look on Ebay, you may find a burried treasure- I got an SLP 2OTL for 123 bucks. Niiiice.
well guys i made my decision, i bought the longtubes, universal xpipe, and 2 bullet mufflers for a true dual setup, also have a custom exhaust shop right down the street, and it will cost 200 for the install, pretty souped. im hoping to gain 30 horsepower getting rid of the cats crappy exhaust manifolds and old flowmaster currently on the car.
