Vortex Cone Resonators
Vortex Cone Resonators
Hey guys, was wondering if anyone has run these:

I just got my car back and the tsp rumbler sounds awesome....only problem is, it's as loud as a hog motorcycle. Now I like it a little loud, but this is insane!! I'd like to quiet it down without changing the muffler completely. Anyone run something like this, have input on it, or another suggestion?

I keep going back and forth, I really enjoyed it today and now don't find it so urgent to get a resonator....though I will get one eventually....I think I just had to get used to it.
I bought a pair of the Dynatech cones built into 3" turndowns, but I never tried them. Our local track requires, mufflers (no open cutouts), has a sound limit, and they check the dB's at 100-ft, both in tech (rev to 5K) and on the track. Exceed the limit and you leave. I bought the coned/turndowns to quiet down my system, which is just Borla XR1's bolted to the collectors, with 3" pipes back to the axle. But then they changed the rule to require that the mufflers have to have at least 3 baffles, to I never even bothered to go back to the track.
I bought 2. I have one in each end of my y-pipe. They seemed to help. I went from Jet hot longtubes, no cat thru a loudmouth. I fired it the first time and I would have hit the ground had I not been sitting in the drivers seat. It was LOUD. I switched to the cones and a magnaflow. It is certainly more liveable now and the cops don't stare so hard.
