uncoated headers wrap or paint?

i know that the paint that they come with is going to burn off in the 1st 30 min. is there anything we need to do to prevent them from rusting through? ie: painting after the paint burns off with high temp or wrapping?

i've heard wrapping is bad because it traps in moisture

I've had a painted header on my Nissan fot a couple years now... there's some spotty rust, but nothing serious. I'd just let em go as is, accepting the fact that they'll need replacing at some point in the future.

I agree, I'd leave them as is. The wraps have always been a bad thing IMO. The high temp paint will just flake off, alot quicker than a coated header would. Spots of rust will appear, but rusting through would take a very long time depending on your climate. Mine were just regular painted headers put on 6 months ago and they still look fine.
