I've found another set, for slightly more money, on ebay that has 1.8" primaries but the collector is only 2.75".

The link he provided shows 3" collectors- depends on where you measure from I guess.

If you buy these I would take those clamps they give and use them for ring toss. Spend some money on some band-style exhaust clamps. They aren't cheap- (Summit sells 3" overlap style for $15 a piece) but I will tell you its the best money I have spent. I had had no issues with sealing and the nicest part is when you need to take them apart or realize you need to adjust them slightly loosen a couple bolts and they slide right apart just like when you put them on there. I am actually running them from front to back on all the 3" connections.

Another reason to get them- when you decide to take them off and sell them you are under there cussing and swearing for 4 hours trying to get the joints you either crimped together or welded together apart.

Compared to my mac 1 5/8 mid lengths they are much bigger. I think they are going to work great.

Yeah, but the 3" collector is a 1.5" primary, and the 1.8" primary has a 2.75" collector.

For some reason I can't find one that has exactly what I want - a 1 3/4" primary, or bigger, and a 3" collector.

Did you have any fitment issues with the passenger side header, or did you not get that far into the installation after experiencing the problem with the steering shaft and the driver's side header?

I have speed daddy's and love them. Made my car sound like a muscle car finally. I had to take a grinder to the kmember and steering shaft but it wasn't that big of a deal. Sure as he'll beats stock manifolds or 500$ pricer brands IMO.

I agree, ditch the clamps and get it welded.

Sounds great with my hooker.

Did you have to do anything to the primary that comes close to the steering shaft.
I ground down my steering shaft but that was not enough to clear it.

I put a very tiny ding in it.

The only thing I really hate about these headers is how they dont look nice and new after they get heated up.
