Speed Daddy ebay LT headers...?

Does anybody have or know anybody with experience with these headers?

They're stainless steel and come with a stainless Y pipe. For the price the value seems great.

I am concerned with ground clearance, as my car is lowered via Eibach's pro kit.

Those are the headers up there. They look great and the price almost seems too good to be true.

I'm curious to hear from anybody running these headers.

I have these headers, but I got them from a different e-bay vendor. The quality is good, welds and stainless materials were top notch. My guess is they are knock-offs of the original LPP headers.

The downside is fitment. I had to clearance the inner fender on the passenger side just to get them in. The headers touched both sides of the k-member and I ended up putting in a BMR tubular k-member. They also touch the steering shaft on the drivers side. I did put in some poly motor mounts and that pulled the headers off of the inner fender.

All in all, these headers have been a pain in the rear, but I am still glad to have them.

Do you think you could do me a favor and take a picture of the underside of the car to give me an idea of how the ground clearance is?

It sounds like you had a lot of issues they may not be worth it.

There is no "attach" button on this site. Upload them to an online photo site, then post the links.

The ebay listing is pretty skimpy. Does anyone know the tube metal gauge, the head flange thickness, primary diameters(s), etc.? The text looks like it was written somewhere deep in China and then translated poorly to English.

Aside from the fitment issues you had under the hood, the fitment looks great underneath the car.

It actually sits closer to the underbody than my Mac Y pipe.

Fred, I'm going to email him again and ask for those specifications.

So he wasn't able to measure the gauge or the steel or the flange, but he said the primaries were 1 1/2".

1-1/2" primaries (if they are not "stepped" 1-1/2" --> 1-5/8") are not adequate for a well built LT1. Even the 1-1/2"-->1-5/8" step is marginal. I had JBA 1-1/2"-->1-5/8" stepped shorties, and they were like putting a potato in the exhaust pipe at high RPM. Most people opt for 1-3/4" primary LT's.

Yeah I guess that explains the price tag. I'd never put 1 1/2" primary headers on my car.

the best I can tell with a tape is 17/8" on the stepped pipe. This photo was hard to take as I had to put the end of the tape on the valve cover to hold it still. the flange is 3/8".
