Are you looking for a weight savings difference, or just after a different sound? Putting a 30 dollar cutout right before the rear axle dump would give you the same effect without having to chop out the muffler.

Muffler should be pretty easy to remove, but I think teh tailpipes are welded to it. You would probably need to by a couple pieces of straight pipe, a 90 degree bend, exhaust hanger, and some clamps.

Should sound exactly like borla w/ no plate.

The only which is nice about going straight pipes vs. cutout is you wouldn't get the vibration from the cutout. Mine rattles all my change and everything.

You have two options. A muffler eliminator on ebay $25. This is set up so its end line up where the old muffler did. This is very easy to weld on. It is pretty restrictive though due to the design. Best way is to pay a little more to have a shop make one for you. They can y right off the 3" I pipe.
