Question Question After Header Install

I just installed a set of BBK shorty headers on my 1995 z28 last night,Now I know what some people think about shorties but I heard these on another car and loved the way they sound. When I start up my car there is a whine coming from under the hood.It sounds just like a supercharger whine.I cant pinpoint where it is coming from.Has anyone else had this problem is it normal after headers.Let me know what you guys think.

id say its something with the belt since you had to take that off, it is not normal though

I agree with the post above; not header related. Check belt, pulleys, power steering pump.

the easiest way to determine this would be to remove the belt and start it up, if there is no noise then its something in the accessory drive

Does the noise only happen on startup, and last for about 2 minutes, then stop? If so, check the AIR pump. Did you keep the AIR system connections with your headers?
