O2 sims illegal?

Trying to order some O2 sims and was told my mulitiple suppliers that nobody makes them any more and are illegal to make or posses any more. Any body hear about this. This was news to me.

My friend just bought a set about three months ago. As far as being illegal, well I am sure the law is different in every state but as long as they don't do a visual inspection then I would not worry about it.

Whether they are now off the market or not due to legality issues, I don't know. I noticed Thunder Racing doesn't have them on their site anymore so it makes me wonder. However, you can still get them from Speed Inc., here is the part number: IZM993-2

thanks for the links to speedinc. I ordered my y pipe and o2 sims from them in a kit. Saved me some cash which was nice. Not to worried about cops checking them out but just seemed odd that they are now illegal. Does anybody know of a good shop in northern VA that does dyno tuning?
