New exhaust on 97 Z28.

Well, finally got the exhaust i've been dreaming of. I have Pacesetter long tube 3" outlet headers, fiberglass wrapped with AIR and EGR installed and functioning. Straight off the headers, I have Doug's headers 3" cutouts, with QTP(quick time performance) electric 3" cutouts. After the cut-outs into magnaflow high flow 3" cats, into a custom sweet thunder 2 1/2" X-pipe, into two sweet thunder 18"
2 1/2" inlet/outlet mufflers. From there it's all 2 1/2" pipe, up over the axle on the passenger side, into two 4"x18" chrome tips, rolled edge 2 1/2" inlet. This thing is deep, loud, and nasty. I love every second of it. Then, you open the cutouts and watch out!! Muscle car all the way!! Here is the photobucket link, there are 11 photos. What do you guys think?

I hate to say it, but those bends are hurting your exhaust flow.
Duplicate it with mandrel bend, and you'll have a great, high flowing exhaust!

I doubt those bends are hurting anything. If I had an endless budget mandrel bent would be the way to go. Since i'm not made of money, i'll do what I can afford to do. As far as cost, here's the break-down list:

Percy's seal-4-good header gaskets $25
Pacesetter long tubes $200
Header wrap $50
Doug's headers exhaust cutouts 3" $75
QTP electronic cutouts USED from ebay $200
Gaskets for cutouts $16
Magnaflow high flow 3" dual cats $175
Custom sweet thunder X-Pipe $100
Custom sweet thunder 18" mufflers $115
Dual chrome 4"x18" tips, 2.5" inlet $80
Muffler shop custom installation, all bending and welding, and whatever pipe was needed $380
Had to go back to muffler shop to have the flanges for the cutouts re-positioned due to ground clearance $45
That all adds up to: $1461

I like what you did there- but for the little extra a mandrel bent would add just that little bit of added visual flare.

Some would argue those bends are hurting performance, but clearly it better than stock and unless you are trying to build an all out motor I doubt you will notice...

Again- I like what you built and had good design ideas...bet it sounds pretty good.

Thanks! Mandrel bending is better i'm sure. But if you are pretty much a bolt on car like I am, I won't notice anyways. Unless you are pushing around 500hp, which i'm not. I'm not entering shows with this car, it's a driver that my wife and I enjoy very much. If I was going for looks I would have bought a magnaflow catback. I just had this idea in my head of what I wanted the exhaust to be, and it is everything I expected. It sounds great, can't remember the last time I heard a car that quite sounds like mine!
