Question Loud Mouth II VS GMMG Chambered

I have a 96 camaro SS with Mac shorty headers and off road pipe, with the two on the left. Want to up grade the Cat back system. I have the center quad tips to put on it. But which cat back system will give me that great deep throaty exhaust sound, the Loud Mouth II or the GMMG Chambered? What are your thoughts?

The LM2 is louder than GMMG and has more potential for drone and rasp, especially if you're running an ORY. Although you're running shorties, so that might tone it down a bit. Personally, if it were me, I'd ditch the shorties and run LT's, you'll see bigger gains plus it'll sound a lot better. In which case I'd go for the GMMG. The GMMG has a nice, deep, smooth note to it while sounding throaty, it's the perfect balance.

If you were to run LT's with your ORY and 2OTL, I think you'd even notice a pretty big difference there, 2OTL sounds amazing with LT's. I'd love to get my hands on one to run on my '94, but they're so just so damn hard to find these days it seems. If you have the coin for it, I say go for the GMMG. It flows and sounds great. You Tube is a great place to hear exhaust notes on, so is this site:

I realize the site is "ls1sounds.com", but there are a few LT1s on there too, it'll at least give you an idea. Hope this helps you narrow your search, good luck and have fun

I absolutely love my 2OTL so I won't be any help. It looks a little weird so I don't typically recommend it unless you have a 96-97 SS, but the only way I'll get "rid" of mine is if I went to duals, and even then I'd keep the 2OTL around for when I planned on doing some extended cruising and wanted to quiet it down.

I think it'd make a great sleeper exhaust on a Z/28, I'm torn though cause I love the look and sound of duals too.
