when I turn on the car and drive it for 10 min the exhaust makes a rattle noise especially when I let off the gas...I figured one of my clamps was loose or something but when I got home, left the car on and looked under it...a pipe is actually vibrating/rattling on the thing that holds up the exhaust right after the Cat and it sounds...very unattractive. Anyway how can I stop this?

 

Do you mean the hanger that bolts to the tranny tailhousing? Or the tranny crossmember? Or the tunnel brace?

 

Do you mean the tunnel brace? It actually doesn't hold anything up, but connects the left and right sides of the bottom. I had some major rattling as well with that piece, and eventually just removed it. Other folks on this message board have removed it as well.

Picture might help identify the part, but the rattling you're talking about is the same stuff I went through.

 

yeah its that brace right behind my Tranny pan kinda.

 

So its the brace that connects up to the cat?

no. The I pipe sits on it, It's like a foot behind the cat.

 

Are you talking about part # 25 on the diagram,that metal plate?
