Edelbrock TES install tips?
Edelbrock TES install tips?
I'm about to hang a set of edelbrock headers on my car.
What kind of header bolts should I get?
What gaskets are best?
Can I use a set of SBC header bolts and SBC gaskets from the performance section at autozone, or do I need to order some special stuff?
Do I need to unhook the steering linkage, or any other weird part that is close by?
When I pull out the coolant sensor on the right bank, is coolant going to spill out?

I wouldn't have wasted my money on TES's but whatever....
header bolts: arp makes good locking bolts.
gaskets: percy's dead soft usually work the best.
i've bought the mr. gasket gaskets from autozone, they worked fine. as long as it is the right sized D port gasket, it's fine.
I had to unhook my steering linkage, but I installed LT's. I had to. you might want to anyways for more room.
when you pull out of the coolant temp sensor in the drivers head, coolant will POUR out. a lot of it. probably almost all of the coolant that's in the block. your best bet would be to unscrew the sensor, have a plug of the correct size ready in your other hand and try to plug it as soon as possible, or with a bolt of the same thread size to keep most of the coolant from popping out.
