I'm a fan of the Magnaflow sound, but if you're looking for loud and obnoxious, either look elsewhere, or get a cutout too.

Yea, I put mine on in my driveway and the tips were a bitch. One side still sticks out about an inch farther, but you can't tell unless you're looking down on them.

Agreed, that is why mine is fitted with a stainless steel cutout as well.

A crowd of what?

At a typical F-body gathering where almost everybody has at least a catback, you won't stand out with a Magnaflow. It's one of the quietest non-stock catbacks you can get.

You won't stand out at the strip, either.

If you just want people to notice it on the street, when you're surrounded by Camrys, then Magnaflow will be more than enough for you to stand out.

The whole system is bolt-on right? Or are the tips welded on already to the system ?

no....just slide the pipes in/out to get them right. they are slip fit and then clamped (or welded).

here is my magnaflow after 6yrs (waiting to go on my LS1)

I belive the newer ones are a different design which is a tad more restrictive as well. The older ones like i have and it appears the guy in the pic has, tend to blow most of the exhaust out of one pipe but it's actually more free flowing.

Just had my magnaflow put on and connected to the CME yesterday. Inside, it sounds similar to my flowmaster but it's more tame on the outside. Overall, I'm very impressed with the fit and the polished stainless appearance. I would recommend it to anyone(I just don't like magnaflows tips). I'll put a pic up later.
