LT1 EGR and Hooker LTs, will it work?

I have some fittings off my Headers, pretty much a straight metal tube with a threaded male 3/4 inch end to them, I hooked a 3/4 inch heater hose in to that then hooked the hose in to 90* brass fitting, to couple it in to another 3/4 inch heater hose I slipped on to the metal tube coming off the EGR. After that was all done I wrapped it all up in header wrap. The stock air pump fitting prety much went straight in to the other tube on the driver side, so I'm not worried about that, but will the EGR work? Its all hooked up and has a straight shot in to the header. The 90* fitting had a male end on both sides, so the hoses just slid in.

Are you saying you put a rubber hose directly on the metal tube on your headers? Then you wrapped the hose with header wrap? You do realize that the hose is now exposed to 1,000+ degree exhaust?

Not directly off the headers, theres a metal tube screwed on to a bung on the header, maybe 5 inches or so in height, the hose is attached to that. It was on there before for the last year or so with out any issues, the only problem I was having was that the hose would get pinched going in to the header, so with the elbow now it wont. Other wise the hose hasnt melted or any thing, been fine thus far. The wrap was mainly there to make it look some what legitamate and keep heat away from the engine harness that runs by the egr.
