Kook LTs and oil filter too close

Motor is out of the car. I installed the headers checking for fitment. The oil filter would be impossible to replace with the headers being so close.

I am considering a remote filter relocation. Any ideas or suggestions?

Interference between oil filter and Kook LTs

Any suggestions on which filter to use that will allow filter changes with Kook LTs? Do I need a remote filter?

I responded to your thread in the LT1 section and will here too for the searchers. The Mobil one number 111 is as big as you can get in there. A bit of a PITA to change, but doable.

Your car dosent have factory oil cooler does it? If so, it has to go, and replace it with the normal housing, and remove the cooler lines. Had to do it with mine, now im running the short fram filter, dont remember the number, but its really do'able, only issue is make sure you remove the oil level sensor

Thanks, I found that the ACDelco PF454F is also the same size as the Mobil1. I preferred the Mobil1 1-111 as you mention, much more filter material (weight).

The Fram XC-30 (someone posted in another thread) is too long by the way.

No oil cooler, no problem, found the right size....Will be a PITA to replace, but the performance will be worth it....
