Just finished LT's and true duals.

Well, just finished putting on my hooker lt's and true dual exhaust with an x pipe and bullet mufflers..

Once small bit of advice i have.. When doing LT's, try to get a friend or someone to help out. I wish i would have had someone to help me out, would've made things a lot easier..

Also, that damn temp sensor on the drivers side, i broke it.. I was being very careful of it, got the long tubes completely installed and the steering shaft back on without breaking it.. I broke it with my hand when routing the spark plug wires.. So gay

I will post pics/ vids tomorrow

cool cool! you will definitely enjoy it. i was surprised the difference longtubes actuall make. dont feel bad about breaking something. i think that is just the way it has to go with putting longtubes on the lt1 lol! i broke the crank position sensor on mine and had to replace it. so at least they are minor things. do you have the exhaust dumped at the axle? cant wait to hear her roar!

Good job, I agree, an extra set of hands does help, especially when trying to get the headers lined up and steady so you can get the bolts started. I broke the coolant temp sensor as well, luckily it was a 20 dollar part from GM so it wasn't the end of the world.

Yeah it's dumped at the axle, i drove it just now for the first time and it seemed like it was idling somewhat high, so when i got home i looked around and realized i forgot to hook up that little vacuum line elbow thing that's after the MAF sensor, hopefully thats what it was

Yes thats pretty much what i needed help with.. I had to sit on top of the engine and hold the headers just right with one hand and start the bolts with the other..

On another note.. I've read that most people put the headers in from the bottom, and some put the drivers in from the top.

I put my drivers in from the bottom, and for the passenger, i removed the valve cover, put the header in as far as i could get it, then jacked the engine up, it literally fell right into place by itself, it was easy (this was after tryin to wrestle it in from the bottom for a while)
