I Neeeeeeeeeed Some Header Help Fast!

Looking to get headers... I’m in the process of getting a Remanufactured Engine and the Shop said if I purchase any parts on or around the engine they would install it for free! So I’m looking into at least headers . . . but there is soo many to choose from! I have narrowed my search how to Long tube’s my question to you is what is the main reason I should go with Ceramic coated over painted? I see there is a big price difference… and what are the benefits of going with a Y pipe? I was looking at these

PaceSetter Painted Long tubes - $285.99
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Here are the same PaceSetter Full-length headers but coated -$429.69
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I’m really not trying to spend over $500 for some headers. . I still have to get a Opti. . .
I wish I know some one selling some used ones in the Atlanta area . ..

The coating is supposed to reduce underhood temps and it also helps in the appearance aspect as well as a deterent to rust. If you get long tubes, you will have to get the y-pipe as well as a stock or stock style y-pipe will in no way mate up to long tube headers. Check out a couple of the supporting vendors, CustomSSI and Speed Engineering, you can get the headers cheaper from them then from Summit.

Your catback has nothing to do with it. It is the odd dimensions of the long tube headers that will prevent you from reusing your existing y-pipe and force you to have to buy the Pacesetter off-road y-pipe.
