Help Me Pick My Exhaust System Please!

I have a 1996 Camaro SS with a Vortech Supercharged 383 Stroker with a custom ground loppy cam. I'm running Pacesetter Longtube Headers with the Offroad Y-Pipe. From there back I currently don't have anything and since the car creates its own ozone and is Nascar loud I have to choose something to pull carry it to the back.

I've aquired quite a museum of exhausts to pick from over the year so cost isn't much of a big deal. The thing is I like loud, with a good sound, but I have to quiet it down a little for daily driver ability.

Choices include:

1. GMMG Oval tip Cat-back
2. SLP Loud Mouth with SLP circle tips
3. SLP Loud Mouth with SLP Dual Duals
4. Stock Two on the Side SLP Stainless steel muffler without silencer
5. Flowmaster with Z28 slash tips

Please give me you're two cents on which you like. I'd really like to use either the GMMG (affraid it wouldn't quiet it at all) or the Stock SS 2OTS (affraid it would be to restrictive and quiet it down to much.

Thanks,
Brandon

If you are going to run a Y-pipe and a cat-back, you need more than a 3" exhaust. Look at the Mufflex 3.5" or 4" catback. I used the 4" on my 800HP nitrous 381, and a buddy of mine used the 4" on a 1,125HP Vortech blown 383 in a 97 SS convertible. He even had his 2OTL tip welded on the 4" single outlet Flowmaster 30-series race muffler.... so it looked "stock".

Just curious.... somehow "lopey cam" and "Supercharged" don't seem to go together.

The big problem I have with that is I'm running every tubular subframe upgrade UMI sells. from the front all the way to the back including the bigger torque arm. I just dont know if I have the clearance to make it happen. Is there really a much bigger gain with going duals? I know I have a supercharger so maintaining the token "backpressure" from the exhaust shouldnt be a big worry. Plus my motor flows about as well on the intake and heads as you can get. Thanks for the input.

+1 on the Mufflex system

Simple solution - 3" duals:

It used to have a 4" Mufflex, but I wanted to drop about 40#. Plus my 3" custom Mufflex Y-pipe didn't fit after adding the Gear Vendor O/D to the tailshaft of the TH400.

With the 4" Mufflex:

simple solution.. if you dont have 800+ hp you dont need a 4" exhaust at all. my buddy has a ws6 with just over 600whp with an slp loudmouth and he loves it. does a NASTY quarter too. go with the flowmaster or the gmmg whichever you like, id take the flowmaster and save 600bucks but thats just me good luck!
