Don't get a cutout for a v6. My friend did on his 93' and we both agreed it sounded like a honda, yuck.

I don't know what muffler sounds good on a v6, so I'm sorry I can't be any better help.

That's basically the exact opposite of mine. No exhaust fumes at all, sounded great at low rpms.

Mine sounds great at idle, nothing like a dump truck... And I actually like the smell

I agree not to upgrade the exhaust on a V6. I know several people that have done it and I just don't have the heart to tell them that their car sounds like an angry school bus. Good Luck to You!

4L as in 4L60e or 4L80e. Its the type of transmission you'll have and not a TH350.

Flowmaster is a loud cheap exhaust. It does not flow the best but its better than stock. To get stainless steel setup is going to cost you, prolly like 500 and over. Otherwise other companies are around 300.
I put my cutout right after my cat, it sounds great and is a ele. remote setup so you can open it whenever. They run 165, another 40 for welding and i wired it myself but i imagine it would cost another 100 to do. So that would be the most cost effective hp.
Headers would be nice but than you would have to get a exhaust setup also.

With headers, you just get a matching Y and the existing catback should hook directly to that.
