You can get rid of the AIR and EGR if you desire. You will then want to get the "race" style headers that do not have those fittings. You will need to get a set of EGR blockoff plates which are easily found on Ebay and vacuum caps. You will have to have the AIR and EGR codes tuned out of the PCM. Also, since you will be using an ORY pipe, you will have to have the rear 02 sensor codes tuned out as well to avoid an SES light.

I remove all the things on the back of the intake and replace them with pulgs that are found on ebay around how do they run and also how much do the race pacesetter headers run for..and what is an ory is it a difficult thing to do or should I just leave the egr and get the headers that just require the remove of the exhaust manifolds .. imo I just want something that is quick and does require that much time consuming (for now) but I see it as if the engine is out I wanna do the headers now..

Coated Pacesetter long tubes will run around 425 dollars, the painted ones will cost less. The Pacesetter ORY(off-road y-pipe) will cost around 130 dollars, it is not difficult to install. The EGR blockoff plates are not expensive, they run around 20 dollars. Just because the engine is out doesn't mean headers will be any easier. You won't be able to install them on the motor outside of the car and try to install the engine with them on. Also, with my personal experience, I used the headers that had both the AIR and EGR fittings, I kept those emissions systems intact. When I had everything installed, I got a check engine light related to the EGR. With the higher flowing exhaust, I guess there is not enough backpressure for the EGR valve to operate properly resulting in the SES light. I ended up having to have tuning done to correct that problem so I don't think getting headers with or without the emissions equipment is going to make a big difference in the difficulty category.

You usually bring it somewhere for a tune.

The Hypertech is pretty much good for thermostat and rearend gear changes. For tuning like that, you will have to go to a speed shop that can tune an LT1 PCM. If there is not a shop local to you, consider doing a mail-order tune where the tuner sends you a tuned PCM and you send them back your original PCM as the core.
